The FD7 is the new addition to the Fisheries stable for service in the Mandurah area. This vessel has been fitted with 2 x state of the art shock mitigating seats. They are a revolution for back care and comfort in rough seas and high speed. These are by no means a cheap alternative, but it can be important to have high priority on spinal preservation and care with the speed that some of these patrol vessels can generate. This 8.5m addition to Fisheries WA rolled out of the shed in July 2005 to join its two baby sisters, the 4.8m (operating in the Abrolhos Islands) and a 5.8m soft top design centre console (patrolling Perth metropolitan waters).
